Academic and Professional Achievements:
Dr. Hoo, known for being a talented dental surgeon with a discerning eye for detail, is the founder and owner of Smile & Co. Dental and is well known for her exceptional work in the field of Modern Dental Aesthetics.
A full scholarship awardee, Dr. Hoo graduated from the National University of Malaysia in 2009 as the winner of the year’s Gold Medal Award, and also received a Gold Medal for winning the SEAADE-GC Dental Asia Student Prevention Table Clinician Competition, of that same year.
After her graduation, Dr. Hoo was appointed and worked as one of the Dental Officers in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Paediatric Dentistry in the Ministry of Health, Malaysia.
In 2013, Dr. Hoo completed all requirements for admission into the Australian Dental Council (ADC) and is now registered as a qualified dentist in Australia.
In the following year, after a series of examinations and tests, Dr. Hoo was admitted as a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, MFDS RCS (Edin). During that same year, Dr. Hoo also obtained a Certificate in Comprehensive Implant Dentistry with the International Team of Implantology (ITI) in Boston.
In 2015, Dr. Hoo went on to complete her Advanced Periodontal Surgery/Plastic Surgery and Implant Therapy course with the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
In 2016, Dr. Hoo completed a 2-Year Residency Program in Orthodontics in Taiwan under the mentorship of Dr. Chris Chang and also attended the Invisalign Immersion Program in Hong Kong, mentored by Dr. Yau Yi Kwong.
In 2017, Dr. Hoo completed the USC Comprehensive Surgical and Restorative Implant Training Program and also a Mini Residency Program in Clear Aligner Technique Program under the mentorship of Dr. Sandra Tai.
In 2019, after many year of meticulous planning, Dr. Hoo started her own practice Smile & Co. Dental inspired by the vision of being one of the first fully digital dental practices around.
Being an Invisalign Provider since 2013, Dr. Hoo was also appointed as an Invisalign Speaker in 2021 and has become a well sought out speaker amongst the dental community.
