  • How long does Invisalign treatment take?
The length of your treatment will depend on your specific needs and will be determined by your Invisalign-trained doctor. The average treatment for an adult is about 12 to 18 months and for teenagers, treatment length may vary and will be determined by the doctor
  • Is Invisalign painful?
Some people may experience minor discomfort when they insert a new aligner at the beginning of each stage of treatment. Typically, people describe it as feeling “pressure” and it’s normal — it’s a sign your Invisalign clear aligners are working and transforming your smile.
  • Are there restrictions on what I can eat while on treatment?
None! You can usually eat or drink what you want during the treatment by removing your aligners. However, it’s recommended that you gloss and brush your teeth after each meal and prior re-inserting your aligners to maintain proper oral hygiene.
  • Will wearing the aligners affect my speech?
It may take a couple of days for your tongue to get used to having your Invisalign aligners in your mouth, and you may have a slight lisp. But this should disappear quickly.
  • How many hours per day do I need to wear my aligners?
You should wear each aligner for 20 to 22 hours a day during your treatment for best results and a timely outcome.
  • How often do aligners need to be changed?
It will depend on your dentist’s instruction. Usually you will change it every 7 days.
  • How often do I need to see my doctor during Invisalign treatment?
Appointments will be scheduled for you once every 6-8 weeks, depending on your condition to see how your treatment is progressing.
  • Is there any age restriction to do invisalign?
No! Invisalign treatment can be a great solution for both adults and teens looking for a virtually invisible method to improve your smile. The innovations and technological advancements from Invisalign make it possible to fix nearly all common teeth-straightening and bite issues, from simple to complex — all without interrupting your busy life.
  • Is teeth extraction necessary for Invisalign?
Teeth may need to be extracted if the crowding is severe. In many cases the invisalign may still be used if extractions are necessary. The Invisalign process works as a guide to align existing teeth more effectively in the mouth.
  • Is crown an issue in Invisalign treatment?
Crowns (tooth caps) are usually not an issue in Invisalign treatment. However, sometimes in Invisalign treatment small tooth-coloured composites called ‘attachments’ are bonded onto teeth to help achieve certain movements, and these are more difficult to bond on crowns than on teeth. In these cases, the location of the crowns needs to be carefully evaluated. Your dentist can provide further advice.
  • Will I need to wear a retainer after treatment to prevent my teeth from moving again?
Most doctors recommend that anyone who has completed orthodontic treatment, whether with braces or Invisalign treatment, use a retainer to prevent teeth from gradually shifting back toward their initial position.
  • Do you offer payment plans for Invisalign treatment?
Yes, we do. Please call in to know about our Invisalign instalment plans!
